If you are into Italian cuisine like we are, you must keep Italian Seasoning in your pantry.  It is so versatile to sprinkle over pizza, pasta dishes, salad dressings, tomato sauces and cheese dishes.

Most Italian Seasonings contain the following herbs:  oregano, marjoram, rosemary, thyme, basil and sage.  This seasoning can be used in whole or ground form depending on your dish.

One quick and easy recipe to use Italian Seasoning is to take 4 fresh tomatoes, sliced in half and placed in a shallow baking dish.  Then sprinkle with Italian Seasoning (about 2 Tbsp.) and about 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese.  Place under the broiler for about 4 minutes or until the cheese melts.  This is great to serve as a side dish!

Another idea using Italian Seasoning is when you are baking pizza, during the last five minutes of baking, sprinkle the Italian Seasoning on the pizza for an extra burst of flavor.  Also, try mixing the seasoning in when you are blending up a creamy Italian salad dressing!  Enjoy experimenting with Italian Seasoning!  It is habit forming!
